Job Summary

  • The Market Researcher will be responsible for conducting comprehensive market research and analysis of Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) products, market trends, and consumer behaviour.
  • The primary objective of the role is to provide insights that will inform strategic decision-making for the development and launch of new FMCG products, as well as to enhance the performance of existing products.

Job Duties

  • Carry-out market research in the assigned areas
  • Construct and maintain a central database for recording market data. You will be expected to monitor the quality of the data, continually implement improvements.
  • Build out internal communication channels to keep the wider business updated with market news
  • Consistently exercise independent judgement and discretion in research matters
  • Prepare and submit regular reports that summarizes findings in a digestible, graphical, and actionable manner

Minimum Requirements

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree, preferably within Psychology, Sociology, Statistics, Communications, or Marketing or any other relevant field
  • 1-2 years of experience in FMCG sector
  • Excellent IT skills across the Microsoft desktop suites and the following:
  • Statistical software packages: {{SPSS, SAS, R or Stata}}
  • Database manipulation {{SQL}} and CRM management.
  • Advanced data visualization methods: {{Tableau, Business Objects}}
  • Excellent spoken and written communication and the tenacity to hold an argument.
  • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally, with people of all levels.
