Specific Duties & Responsibilities
With technical oversight from the state and central office technical staff and collaboration with State ProgramManagement, the Pharmaceutical Services Assistant shall provide support and share responsibility in the following:
- Assist in managing the dispensing aspects of the HIV care and treatment program.
- Assist in implementing work plans and activities in concordance with the Government of Nigeria’s stipulatedguidelines/standards at all healthcare facilities supported by the organization.
- Assist in tracking, monitoring, and conducting inventory analysis of all pharmacy stock employing the use ofmonitoring tools, spread sheets and data bases.
- Assist in periodic of support to medical, nursing and counseling staff at sites supported by the HIV care andtreatment program.
- Collate, prepare, and submit periodic progress reports pharmaceutical and logistics services from the sitessupported to implement the HIV care and treatment program. *Assist in periodic training of pharmacy, medical, nursing and counseling staff at sites supported by the HIV care and treatment program.
- Prepare and submit periodic progress reports pharmaceutical and logistics services from the sites supported to implement the HIV care and treatment program.
- Perform any other duties assigned
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy or other relevant field with prior experience in pharmaceutical services delivery and supply chain management.
- At least 2 years experience in related programming in developing countries.
- Experience in Pharmaceutical service delivery, Logistics and Supply Chain Management.
- Proficiency in the use of electronic Logistic Management Information System e.g. NHLMIS, CMM, and POC-NMRS application.
- Proficiency in MS Access, SPSS, MS Excel, MS Word, MS Power Point and other Office packages.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills. *Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the demonstrable ability to develop written reports for decision making.
- Knowledge of local language will be an asset.
