Job Summary
- We are seeking an experienced Construction/Engineering Project Manager to lead and manage Engineering projects from start to finish.
- The Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and coordinating project activities with the construction and engineering teams.
- The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of delivering projects on time, within budget, and to the satisfaction of all stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Planning: Develop and manage project plans, including project scope, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation. Ensure that project plans are aligned with business objectives and stakeholders’ requirements.
- Communication: Communicate project status and updates to stakeholders, including clients, team members, and other relevant parties. Ensure that stakeholders are informed of project progress, challenges, and risks.
- Resource management: Manage project resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials. Ensure that resources are allocated efficiently to meet project timelines and budgets.
- Risk management: Identify and manage project risks, including technical risks, safety risks, and financial risks. Develop risk mitigation plans and contingency plans as needed.
- Quality management: Ensure that project deliverables meet the required quality standards. Develop and implement quality assurance and quality control processes to monitor and control project quality.
- Safety management: Ensure that safety policies and procedures are followed on the project site. Develop and implement safety plans and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for all project personnel.
- Contract management: Manage project contracts, including negotiating contract terms, monitoring contract compliance, and resolving contract disputes.
- Change management: Manage project changes, including scope changes, schedule changes, and budget changes. Develop change management processes to ensure that changes are documented, approved, and communicated to stakeholders.
- Team management: Manage project team members, including hiring, training, and evaluating team members. Foster a positive team environment and provide leadership to motivate and guide team members.
- Overall, the prospective project will be responsible for managing all aspects of a project, from planning and execution to monitoring and controlling. He will responsible for ensuring that the project is completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards while maintaining a safe working environment for all project personnel.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Project Management or a related field.
- Project management certification and background in MEP engineering will be an added advantage.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing related project management, with a focus on construction engineering space.
- Strong knowledge of PM methods, tools, and building codes and standards.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex building projects from start to finish.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools, such as Microsoft Project, Excel, Primavera, and AutoCAD.
- Willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
