Job Overview
- We are seeking a highly organized and responsible Administrative Assistant and Logistics Officer to join our team.
- This position requires strong supervisory skills, excellent organizational abilities, and the ability to manage heavy-duty equipment and materials.
- The ideal will be required to work late nights, to ensure effective operations.
- As an Administrative Assistant and Logistics Officer, you will play a vital role in coordinating and overseeing administrative tasks, supervising laborers, managing logistics, and maintaining efficient storekeeping of heavy-duty equipment.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the work of laborers, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and according to schedule.
- Organize and maintain inventory of heavy-duty equipment, tools, and materials, ensuring proper storage and safekeeping.
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment to identify maintenance or repair needs and coordinate necessary actions.
- Develop and implement efficient procedures for inventory control, ensuring accurate record-keeping and minimizing loss or damage.
- Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to procure necessary materials and equipment, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.
- Plan and coordinate logistics for projects, including transportation, scheduling, and resource allocation.
- Assist in the preparation of work schedules, ensuring adequate coverage and efficient utilization of resources.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth workflow and effective communication across departments.
- Prepare reports, documents, and correspondence as needed, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
- Handle administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and maintaining records.
- Assist in the implementation of safety protocols and procedures to ensure a secure working environment for all employees.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Administrative Assistant, Logistics Officer, or in a similar role, preferably in a construction or heavy equipment industry.
- Strong supervisory skills with the ability to effectively lead and manage a team of laborers.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Proficient in inventory management and storekeeping practices.
- Knowledge of heavy-duty equipment and their maintenance requirements.
- Experience in logistics planning and coordination.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including late nights, as required by project demands.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in computer applications such as MS Office.
- Valid driver’s license may be required, depending on the job requirements.
