Job Summary
- Drive sustainable financial growth and expand the company’s customer base.
Responsibilities
Strategic:
- Drive business development efforts through client relations, submittals, proposals, presentations, contract negotiations and other related activities.
- Research and identify new business opportunities – including new markets, growth areas, trends, customers, partnerships, products and services – or new ways of reaching existing markets.
- Plan and implement long term business strategies to achieve the company’s objectives.
Operational:
- Identify and convert business leads.
- Develop and review project submittals for quality assurance, technical accuracy, and customer-oriented solutions
- Advise clients on the businesses’ products or services.
- Serve as key point of contact with customer and lead or guide all customer facing presentations.
- Maintain good working relationships with the business development team.
- Build and maintain valuable/healthy customer relationships.
- Conduct market research to gather information and identify opportunities.
- Negotiate and close deals with clients.
- Build strong relationships with clients, industry professionals, competitors and vendors.
Skills and qualifications
- Candidates should possess a First Degree in Marketing, Business or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years proven leadership experience driving business development initiatives to secure significant energy, or related, project contracts.
- Proven experience and skills in the preparation of proposals, bids and tenders is a key requirement.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for the concise / clear expression of technical and nontechnical concepts.
- Detail orientation.

- Ability to build and lead teams.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Outstanding organizational and leadership skills.
