Job Description
- To manage and optimize the overall performance of the commercial finance function through efficient business partnering system, and providing specialized, focused leadership and ensure maximum compliance to company best practice.
Key Deliverables
- Overseeing the production of accurate monthly reports including reconciliations as well as financial statements and cash flow projections for use by management, as well as the Audit/Finance Committee and Board of Directors.
- Managing and monitor all aspects of company accounts receivable and payable.
- Supervise and review the management of all activities related to financial accounting such as: invoicing; refunds; purchasing; payroll; collection of accounts receivable; management and payment of suppliers; management and payment of contracts; assistance in the ongoing monitoring and management of banking relationships, cash flow analysis and the management of short and long term investments; performing bank and other key reconciliations.
- Review of Debtors Exposure report to confirm its accuracy and completeness and ensure collections are received as and when due.
- Review of Debtors Schedule to ensure its alignment with all related GLs.
- Regular follow up with the commercial team for collections from Debtors.
- Customer claims settlement.
- Review of KYC and registration documents for onboarding new customers.
- Champion recovery of long outstanding debts.
- Monitor aged debts to ensure adequate provision.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree / HND in any discipline from a reputable Institution.
- Financial Management or related discipline.
- ACA/CIMA/ACCA.
- Minimum of 8 years’ experience in Financial Management (including 3 years in Commercial Finance role).
