We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Batching Plant Operator

Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Position Description

  • The employees will be responsible for the set up and tear down, operation, maintenance and record keeping of portable concrete batch plant.
  • In addition to operating the plant, the employee will assist with the coordination of daily plant activities such as scheduling truck drivers and ordering plant materials.
  • Operates concrete plant to batch materials used for the refinery construction.
  • Manage controls to heat, weigh and mix aggregate, cement, and water to produce concrete that conforms to procedures

Job Responsibilities

  • Knowledge of concrete batching systems
  • Manage control to heat, weigh and mix aggregates, cement and water to produce concrete confirming to specifications
  • Understanding of quality requirement of concrete
  • Maintain accurate reports as required
  • Ensure safe operation of batching plant
  • Understanding and experience in calibration of batching
  • Oversee all plant operations; coordinate and monitor daily work load throughout the plant; monitor plant cleanliness. . Oversee all maintenance

Desired Qualification/Preferred Competencies

  • Must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering with good knowledge of software application
  • 3 – 5 years’ of concrete batching experience in a huge construction project, excellent experience in batching plants operations and having a maintenance experience will be added advantage.

Salary
N100,000 – N600,000 / month.

 

Job Title: Contracts and Procurements Engineer (Electrical)

Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Description
Develop, issue and expediting of Purchase Order, Contracts for Materials & Services by performing the following:

  • Prepares bidders’ list.
  • Pre-qualifies bidders.
  • Forms bid request package.
  • Issue bid request package to approved bidders.
  • Receives bids, assists technical team for Bid Evaluation.
  • Evaluates bids commercially and Vendor Due Diligence.
  • Prepares Commercial Bid Summary and Recommendation Letter
  • Recommends and secures approvals in accordance with established procedures.
  • Prepares and organized meetings for bid clarification, Terms and Conditions finalization,
  • Prepare Purchase Order / Service Order / Contract document for Purchase and services.
  • Expediting, communication, co-ordination from Procurement to Pay to Supplier.
  • Gas and Steam Turbine Generator, Heat Recovery Steam Generator expediting experience shall be added advantage.

Essential Qualifications

  • Degree in Engineering with right experience.
  • Diploma in Engineering with higher experience.
  • 15 to 20 Years of experience in procurement of GTG, LTSA Contract, Contract Finalization for Combined Cycle Power Plant Project

Preferred Qualifications:

  • CIPS Qualification, FIDIC Knowledge, Certificate from IACCM
  • Familiarity with lump sum, unit price and cost-plus type contracts.
  • Familiarity with construction, design, services, and O & M Forms of contracts

Additional Skills:
Job Knowledge:

  • Knowledge and experience in the formation of Purchase Order, Service Orders, Contracts and Contracts agreements including types, terms, and legal requirement.
  • Contract Expediting / Administration for GTG, STG, HRSG & EGBS.
  • Skill in working and informing effectively, both orally and in writing, with other project functional groups and vendors.
  • Knowledge of Commercial law, negotiations of General Terms and Conditions & Special Terms and Conditions, accounting or cost engineering through education and experience.
  • Knowledge in Supplier Performance Management & Supplier Relationship Management.
  • Experience in Proposal & Cost Estimation added advantage.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the project functional groups and company policies, procedures, and work practice.
  • ERP System (Ivalua, SAP, Oracle etc)

 

Job Title: Batching Plant Mechanic

Locations: Lagos and Akwa Ibom
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Description

  • This position is primarily responsible for the diagnosis and repair of a wide variety of fixed mechanical equipment, systems and machinery such as valves, motors, and pumps, as well as the maintenance of conveyors belts, pulleys, pumps, screens and screen bearings.

Responsibilities

  • Routinely walk the plant to inspect mechanical equipment and parts and systems in need of repair or replacement.
  • Communicate with Plant Management on a daily basis to discuss items in need of repair.
  • Diagnose mechanical problems and perform repair and maintenance to stationary production machinery, including, but not limited to, batch plants, motors, conveyors, elevators and drives.
  • Inspects and reports the condition of machinery for items needing repair or service.
  • Rebuild or fabricate parts; repair electrical equipment.
  • Read and interpret technical manuals.
  • Operates fixed and mobile equipment, as necessary.
  • Prior to undertaking any diagnosis or repair, conduct a job safety analysis to identify and isolate any hazards such as energy (lock-out, tag-out), working at heights, confined spaces, etc.
  • Always ensure all safety guards are on equipment when it is energized.
  • Report all incidents, accidents, near misses and first aid events to Supervisors as soon as possible. Complete incident reports as instructed.
  • Attend and actively participate in regular safety toolbox talks, production meetings and trainings.
  • Adhere to all Company Safety, Environmental, Compliance, Human Resources and Plant policies and procedures.

Qualifications

  • Ordinary National Diploma (OND).
  • A minimum of three (3) years of experience performing the functions listed above in a construction, building materials, manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Proficient in hydraulic, electrical and pneumatic systems.
  • Welding skills are desirable.
  • Strong safety-orientation
  • Ability to work overtime.

Salary
N100,000 – N300,000 monthly
