We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Head of Accounts
Location: Lagos
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensure that the financial transactions of the Firm are accurately captured, classified, and posted with relevant approvals and coding instructions
- Payroll Management
- Receivables Management
- Payables Management
- Perform regular reviews of the ledgers and other books of entries and ensure relevant reconciliations
- Ensure confidentiality and safe keeping of accounting records and documents
- Adhere to financial and accounting control procedures of the Firm
- Carry out monthly Tax Returns (PAYE, VAT, Withholding Tax etc.)
Educational Qualification and Experience
- Accounting Degree or equivalent
- Not less than 35 years of age
- Knowledge of applicable tax laws, codes and regulations in the industry
- Working knowledge and experience of an accounting software / ERP
- Minimum of Five years’ experience required. An outdoor advertising or marketing or FMCG experience required
- Minimum of Two years Leadership experience
- Membership of relevant professional bodies such as Institute of Chartered Accountant of Nigeria (ICAN)
Key Competencies:
- Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
- Experience with keeping financial records
- Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year end close process
- Excellent accounting software use
- Active, smart and catches up quickly
- High level of Integrity and Honesty
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Proven skill in computer operation
- Ability to deliver on the job.
Job Title: Accounts Assistant
Location: Lagos
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide accounting and clerical support to the company.
- Prepare and maintain accounting documents and records.
- Reconcile bank accounts in a timely manner.
- Daily input of key financial transactions.
- Provide assistance and support to the company’s management and personnel.
- Research, track and resolve accounting or documentation problems and discrepancies.
- Prepare periodic management reports and financial statements.
- Liaise with the Auditors.
Education and Experience
- Higher National Diploma (HND) or Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Accounting
- 3 years post qualification experience.
- Knowledge of applicable tax laws, codes and regulations affecting the industry.
Key Competencies:
- Speak, read and write good English
- Understand basic accounting principles and procedures.
- Have fast, accurate data entry skills.
- Excellent use of Microsoft word and, spreadsheets.
- Have good problem-solving skills.
- Must pay attention to details.
