Job Title: Professional Architect

Position Overview

• We are seeking a highly skilled and creative Professional Architect to join our team.
• As a Professional Architect, you will be responsible for designing and overseeing the construction of buildings and structures, ensuring functionality, aesthetics, and compliance with building codes and regulations.
• The ideal candidate should have a strong design sensibility, extensive technical knowledge, and the ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with clients and multidisciplinary teams.
• Basic knowledge of Chinese Mandarin is needed to facilitate communication and collaboration with our Chinese counterparts.

Responsibilities

• Develop design concepts, sketches, and detailed drawings using computer-aided design (CAD) software and other design tools.
• Prepare and present architectural proposals, including 2D and 3D visualizations, for review and approval.
• Incorporate sustainable design principles and practices into architectural solutions to promote energy efficiency and environmental responsibility.
• Produce comprehensive architectural drawings, plans, and specifications for construction projects, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.
• Collaborate with engineers and other professionals to coordinate and integrate architectural designs with structural, electrical, and mechanical systems.
• Review and provide input on contractor bids, proposals, and construction documents to ensure adherence to design intent and project requirements.
• Resolve design issues, conflicts, and challenges that might arise, providing timely solutions and documentation as needed.
• Stay up to date with industry trends, advancements, and best practices in architecture, incorporating them into design processes and projects.
• Communicate effectively with clients, team members, and stakeholders, providing clear and concise explanations of design concepts and decisions.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Architecture from an accredited institution.
• Basic knowledge of Chinese Mandarin.
• Professional registration with the appropriate architectural regulatory body (e.g., Architects Registration Council of Nigeria, ARCON).
• Proven experience working as a Professional Architect, with a strong portfolio of completed architectural projects.
• Proficiency in architectural design software, such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, or similar tools.
• Strong design and visualization skills, with the ability to create compelling 2D and 3D representations of architectural concepts.
• Excellent knowledge of architectural principles, building codes, regulations, and construction practices.
• Familiarity with sustainable design principles and experience incorporating them into architectural projects.
• Basic knowledge of Chinese Mandarin to facilitate communication with our Chinese counterparts.
• Strong technical skills in producing detailed architectural drawings, plans, and specifications.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality architectural designs.
• Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex design issues and provide innovative solutions.
• Proactive approach to professional development, staying updated with industry trends, technologies, and best practices.
