Job Title: Senior Finance Analyst

Job Description
- The Finance Analyst is responsible for executing financial analysis, forecasting, reconciliation, reporting and operational metrics tracking for financial decision making purposes.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Analyze financial data and create financial models for decision support
- Report on financial performance and prepare for regular leadership reviews
- Analyze past results, perform variance analysis, identify trends, and make recommendations for improvements
- Work closely with the chief financial officer to ensure accurate financial reporting
- Evaluate financial performance by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans and forecasts
- Guide the cost analysis process by establishing and enforcing policies and procedures
- Provide analysis of trends and forecasts and recommend actions for optimization
- Recommend actions by analyzing and interpreting data and making comparative analyses; study proposed changes in methods and materials
- Oversee the preparation and planning of budgets.
- Create and implement financial policies to guarantee operational efficiency.
- Ensure financial records are kept up-to-date with the latest transactions and changes.
- Financial audits, bank statements reconciliation
- Analyze current and past financial data and performance to make recommendations on profit enhancement
- Consistently analyze financial information based on both routine and ad-hoc reports
- Interpret financial data to recognize changing trends, patterns, and their meaning related to key performance indicators
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Economics, Finance or equivalent experience
- 5 – 6 years’ financial analysis and modeling experience
- Knowledge of and experience using MiFos and BankOne core Banking apps is HIGHLY desired
- Advanced knowledge of Excel
- Experience and good knowledge and use of MiFos is an advantage
- Exposure in the banking sector, MFB or a financial services company.
