Credit Controller at Velsta Company

Velsta is a consulting company that offers virtual assistant solutions for businesses and individuals.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Credit Controller

Location: Victoria Island, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities

  • Assists in the maintenance of the general ledger, post and review all intercompany financial transactions making accruals and adjustments as needed
  • Prepare and analyze monthly consolidated profit and loss statements,
  • Balance Sheet and month close accounting reports for the Group
  • Review monthly intercompany accounts reconciliation, resolve outstanding/unusual items or accounting entry discrepancies
  • Creating procedures and policies that ensure timely payments while maintaining a high level of customer retention
  • Reconciling complex accounts
  • Ensuring credit and collection policies and procedures are followed within the team
  • Liaising with customers, as well as internal personnel including the sales team.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of a First Degree in Accounting, Finance or any related discipline
  • Relevant Professional qualification e.g. ICAN, ACCA, etc.
  • A minimum of 6 years relevant experience with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
