Cedarcrest Hospitals Ltd currently has four hospitals located in Abuja, Lagos, Kainji and Jebba having over one hundred (100) bed capacity without patient camps in several other cities across Nigeria. Our services and facilities span several specialities and include emergency / trauma centre, radiology diagnostic centre, prosthetic manufacturing plant, oxygen manufacturing plant, modular surgical operating theatres, gastrointestinal endoscopy suite and several other facilities that make for a modern multispecialty hospital.
We are recruiting to fill the position beow:
Job Title: Electronics Technician
Location: Abuja
Purpose of the Role
- Assembling, evaluating, testing, and maintaining electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, and apparatus.
- Troubleshooting and repairing malfunctioning equipment, appliances, and apparatus.
Key Performance Area
- The Key performance arrears will include but not limited to the following:
- Assembling, evaluating, testing, and maintaining electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures, using hand tools and power tools.
- Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem.
- Reading and interpreting electrical and electronic circuit blueprints, diagrams, and schematics.
- Troubleshooting and repairing malfunctioning equipment, appliances, and apparatus, connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components.
- Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with industry and safety codes.
- Carry out maintenance, diagnosis, and repair of electronic equipment
- Perform maintenance of alarm systems, electrical pneumatic and electronic controls, programmable controls, and other similar equipment.
- Inspect and supervise work done by external vendors.
- Keep daily records of utilities and carry out regular updates as required.
- Perform any other tasks as required.
Hierarchy:
- This role reports to the Technical Manager.
Qualifications and Experience
- OND, Trade Test, hand on skills on electrical/electronic equipment.
- 2+ years of experience working on electrical/electronic equipment.
Job Requirements:
- Strong knowledge of practices and principles of electrical/electronic systems.
- Knowledge of the methods and safety precautions related to electric equipment.
- Ability to read and understand electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, service manuals, panels and meters.
- Ability to maintain adequate records and reports.
- Good interpersonal working relationship
- Effective communication skill in English
- Knowledge of biomedical equipment will be an added advantage.
