Job Description
- The Graphic/Brand Development Manager is responsible for overseeing the visual identity, creative direction, and brand consistency of the company.
- This role involves leading a team of designers, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring that all visual elements align with the brand’s values, objectives, and messaging.
- The Graphic/Brand Development Manager will play a key role in shaping and enhancing the company’s brand image through compelling visual content.
Key Responsibilities
Brand Strategy and Development:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive brand strategy that reflects the company’s values, mission, and goals.
- Ensure consistent and cohesive brand messaging and visuals across all touchpoints, both online and offline.
- Collaborate with marketing and communication teams to integrate brand strategies into marketing campaigns.
Creative Direction:
- Provide creative direction to design teams for various projects, including print materials, digital assets, packaging, and more.
- Develop and communicate design guidelines, visual standards, and brand aesthetics to maintain consistency.
Team Leadership:
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of graphic designers, illustrators, and other creative professionals.
- Foster a collaborative and innovative environment, encouraging team members to generate fresh and engaging design ideas.
Visual Content Creation:
- Conceptualize and create impactful visual content that communicates the brand’s identity and resonates with target audiences.
- Produce graphics, illustrations, infographics, and other visual elements for marketing campaigns and communication materials.
Market Research:
- Stay informed about design trends, industry best practices, and competitive landscape to ensure the brand’s visual identity remains relevant and cutting-edge.
Collaboration and Communication:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, communications, product development, and sales, to align visual assets with overall brand strategy.
- Present design concepts and strategies to stakeholders and leadership, articulating the rationale behind creative decisions.
Project Management:
- Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, ensuring they are delivered on time and meet high-quality standards.
- Monitor project progress, allocate resources effectively, and address potential roadblocks.
Budget Management:
- Participate in budget planning and manage resources efficiently to optimize design initiatives and projects.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, Marketing, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- Proven experience (3+ years) in graphic design, brand development, or a related creative leadership role.
- Proficient in design software/tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), Sketch, Figma, etc.
- Strong understanding of branding principles, typography, color theory, and visual hierarchy.
- Exceptional creative thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Leadership abilities with a track record of managing and inspiring creative teams.
- Ability to work collaboratively, adapt to change, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong project management skills, including time management and organization.
- Portfolio showcasing a range of design work and branding projects.
Salary
N100,000 – N150,000 / month.
