Position Overview
- Our client organization is looking to hire a Senior Travel Consultant, who is passionate about travel and possesses exceptional sales and consultant skills.
- As a Senior Travel Consultant, you will be a key player in promoting and selling our diverse range of travel packages and services to potential customers.
- You will leverage your extensive knowledge of travel destinations, outstanding communication skills, and persuasive techniques to drive sales and exceed revenue targets.
- Your ability to build strong relationships with clients and provide exceptional customer service will be essential in ensuring our customers have memorable travel experiences.
Job Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategies to generate leads and convert them into loyal customers.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, understanding their travel preferences, and proactively suggesting suitable travel options.
- Cultivate new business opportunities through networking, referrals, and proactive outreach.
- Stay updated on industry trends, travel regulations, country visitor and competitive offerings to provide insightful recommendations to clients.
- Prepare and present reports, highlighting achievements, challenges, and areas for improvement.
- Meet and exceed individual and team sales targets on a consistent basis.
- Showcase our travel products and services, emphasizing unique selling points to potential customers.
- Handle inquiries and provide excellent customer service, addressing any concerns promptly and professionally.
- Collaborate with the travel operations team to ensure smooth trip arrangements and flawless execution of travel plans.
- Advise clients regarding passports, visa’s, health requirements, foreign exchange, travel insurance etc for travel purposes.
- Monitor airline flights while clients are en route to stay apprised of delays and any other problems.
- Train and mentor junior travel consultants on all aspects of creating travel arrangements and satisfying clients.
- Design complete travel itineraries for clients that include entertainment, restaurant, and attraction suggestions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Travel and Tourism, Business, or a related field is preferred.
- Proven track record as a successful Travel Consultant with a minimum of [5-6] years of experience in a similar role.
- Must be IATA certified.
- In-depth knowledge of the travel industry, including popular destinations, travel products, and emerging trends.
- Proven experience as a successful Travel Sales consultant or in a similar sales role within the travel industry.
- Ability to Understand clients’ travel preferences, needs, and budgets to curate personalized travel packages that exceed their expectations.
- Strong sales acumen and a track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
- In-depth knowledge of travel destinations, travel products, and industry trends.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with clients and provide exceptional customer service.
- Ability to work independently, manage time efficiently, and handle multiple tasks with attention to detail.
- Self-motivated and results-driven with a passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences, Outstanding sales and negotiation skills, with a demonstrated ability to close deals and achieve sales targets.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, allowing you to build rapport with clients and effectively convey the value of our travel services.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities, enabling you to handle multiple clients and travel arrangements simultaneously.
- Passion for travel and a deep understanding of various travel styles, such as luxury, adventure, cultural, and eco-tourism.
- Tech-savvy, with proficiency in using CRM systems, travel booking platforms, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work independently, manage time efficiently, and handle multiple tasks with attention to detail.
- Positive attitude, enthusiasm, and passion for travel and exploring new destinations.
Compensation
N200,000 – N300,000 / Month.
