Job Title: Videographer & Editor
Location: Lekki / Ikeja, Lagos
Employment Type: Contract (Fully Onsite)
Reports To: Head, Studio Operations
Works & Interacts With: Project Stakeholders; (Management, Team Members, Project Manager)
The Role
- We are seeking a Videographer & Editor to join our growing company.
- You will be responsible for filming high quality footage, and reviewing all audio and visual footage, assembling, transferring, or uploading raw footage to a computer for review, and creating the best output by cutting and connecting various footage, adding sound effects, and graphics, and fine-tuning the completed content into one cohesive video or film.
- To be successful in this position, you’ll be a self-starter, capable of delivering brilliant creative ideas, and show apt attention to detail.
Work Location:
- Corporate Office at Ikeja and Lekki Phase 1, Lagos, and any other project location, as may be required to complete work responsibilities.
Contract Type:
- Fixed-term Contract Employment for 12 months, with an opportunity to be retained as a permanent employee, or contract renewed given satisfactory performance and completion of key milestones and KPI Deliverables.
Responsibilities
- Produce high-quality footage by engaging in filming, color correction, editing, and sound audit.
- Ensures that the overall job quality matches the project brief by analyzingand understand the project brief, capture all relevant brief specified data, as well as paying critical attention to brand profiling (capture/ visualize brand look & feel e.g., logo, colors & fonts).
- Carry out pre & post-production function by ensuring that Produce content for TV & digital platforms meet optimal quality standards and are error-free. (Sound is properly mixed, no spelling mistakes, Overall Video Edit).
- Joining the production brief meetings, and ensuring understanding of the production vision for each project.
- Review raw footage to ascertain the shoot list.
- Manipulating film and video footage by utilizing modern editing techniques.
- Maintaining continuity while moving shots according to the scene standard.
- Trimming footage and aligning rough content.
- Insert dialog, sound effects, music, graphic content, and special effects to improve video quality.
- Improving and correcting lighting, coloring, and faulty footage.
- Ensuring the project follows a logical sequence and Liaising with the production team and director to present a final cut that matches the production brief or script.
About You
- A Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from any accredited university. Training in Video Production and editing software such as Final Cut Pro and others is required.
- Proven track record of excellence and 3+ years of experience working with Film and Video.
- A creative individual with a background in Media, Art, Communication, Photography, and Videography. The ideal applicant should have a mix of these backgrounds to be able to understand the rudiments in producing a finished quality film or video.
- Industry experience in media and entertainment is required.
Ability to Use, Understand or Apply:
- Advanced knowledge of videgraphy, sound audit, editing software, such as; Adobe After Effects, Final Cut Pro X, Avid Media Composer, Lightworks, and Premier.
- Artistic editing techniques and the ability to create finished, broadcast-worthy projects that accurately reflect the vision of the production director.
- 3D Composition and Special Effect.
Ability to / Demonstrate:
- Proficiency in the use of editing software programs.
- General understanding of computers, and digital equipment.
- A clear understanding of each project brief, film and video production, corporate identity and branding, advertising, and multimedia design.
- Ability to take and follow directions, while also having a creative eye for improvements.
- Creative, artistic skills and innovation in delivering and producing concepts and ideas.
- Effective Time Management and efficient at working in a fast-paced environment.

Benefits
Salary: N180,000 – N250,000 Gross Monthly (The final offer to be decided by the level of expertise, qualification, and capacity).
