Job Title: Business Development Manager

Location: Victoria Island, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Description
Business Development:

  • Develop an in depth understanding of STI Assets Management’ services
  • Identifying investor’s needs and sales opportunities to pass to the portfolio team todevelop further
  • Updating and maintaining a database of prospective investors and clients, buildingrelationships and networking whenever possible to develop new accounts
  • Research and identify new market opportunities
  • Following up new business opportunities and setting up meetings
  • Writing reports
  • Following up new business opportunities and setting up meetings
  • Planning and preparing presentations.

Software Tester:

  • Monitoring applications and software systems
  • Working with project support teams
  • Carry out stress testing, performance testing, functional testing, scalability testing
  • Communicating findings to technical and non-technical colleagues

Team Management:

  • Supervise & review performance of individuals in the team

Relationship Management:

  • Manage relationships between current and prospective clients.
  • Ensure the MD/CEO is kept informed of business developments

Requirements
Knowledge:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree, Master’s Degree preferred, and a minimum of 8-10 years’ experience
  • Proven track record of managing all aspects of a successful product throughout its lifecycle.
  • Proven ability to develop product and marketing strategies and effectively communicate recommendations to executive management.
  • Skilled at working effectively with cross functional teams

Skills:

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint required.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills are essential. Ability to lead meetings and presentations, and ability to interface with all levels of staff with tact and diplomacy.
  • Demonstrated industry knowledge and business acumen.
  • In-depth understanding of basic concepts of portfolio management and financial instruments
  • Should have working relationship with various asset management employees

Ability:

  • Ability to build and develop relationships with internal employee, strategic partners, and other external stakeholders.
  • Tenacity to handle rejection and continue with a positive attitude when reaching the next potential client.
  • Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently.
  • Possesses an energetic, outgoing, and friendly demeanor.
  • Ability to deal with details.
