St Dominic Catholic Hospital is a religious-based 64-bed hospital located in Ogungbade off New Ife Road, Ibadan in Oyo state. St Dominic Catholic Hospital is the vision of the Dominican Sisters of St Catherine of Siena (Italy). The hospital is run by consecrated religious women who are totally dedicated to the service of humanity in collaboration with international partners. The hospital is duly registered with the CAC and licensed by the Ministry of Health, also accredited by the National Health Insurance Scheme(NHIS). Our services include general medicine, internal medicine, O&G, Laboratory, Medical Imaging, etc.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Medical Doctor

Location: Ibadan, Oyo
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Description

• Responding to patients’ medical problems by referring to their history, carrying out diagnosis, treatment, counseling, and referral, where necessary.
• Ordering lab tests and interpreting the test results.
• Maintaining confidentiality and impartiality at all times.
• Collecting, recording, and maintaining sensitive patient information such as examination results, medical history, and reports.
• Performing minor surgeries.
• Explaining procedures or prescribed treatments to patients.
• Liaising with other medical professionals.
• Promoting health education in conjunction with other health professionals
• Discussing and evaluating new pharmaceutical products with pharmaceutical representatives.
• Keeping up-to-date with medical developments, treatment, and medication.

Requirements

• Degree in Medicine (essential).
• Residency training (essential).
• Current medical license (essential).
• Completed Medical Licensing Examination (essential).
• 2 years of experience practicing as a primary care doctor.
• Fantastic counseling and listening skills.
• Superb organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent decision-making skills and communication.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Compassionate nature with the ability to make patients feel at ease.
• Great management and leadership skills.
• Resident on Ibadan or Willingness to relocate to Ibadan.

Salary
N250,000 – N300,000 / month.
