We are recruiting to fill the position below:

 

 

Job Title: Process Officer

Location: Sagamu, Ogun

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate refinery operations, including degummers, neutralizers, bleachers, deodorizers, alkali Refining, fractionation, and elimination of free fatty acids and other volatile compounds, to process Vegetable oil efficiently and meet quality standards. Provide guidance and support to operators. Conduct regular inspections.
  • Maintain accurate records of production activities, equipment readings, quality control data, and maintenance tasks. Prepare reports and documentation as required by management.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless coordination and communication across departments. Provide technical guidance and support to production staff, fostering a collaborative work environment.
  • Continuously monitor refining processes, identify areas for improvement, and implement optimization strategies to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and improve overall productivity.
  • Conduct regular quality checks on processed oil samples, adjust processing parameters as needed, and ensure compliance with quality specifications. Implement corrective actions to maintain product quality.
  • Oversee the maintenance and calibration of refining equipment to ensure proper functionality and reliability, and Collaborate with the maintenance team to schedule preventive maintenance and troubleshoot equipment issues promptly. Keep equipment in optimal working condition to ensure uninterrupted production.
  • Enforce strict housekeeping protocols to maintain a clean, organized, and safe workplace, adhering to GMP standards. Supervise cleaning schedules, waste disposal, and sanitation procedures, ensuring compliance with the standard of operations (SOPs) and industry regulations.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering, Food Science, or related field.
  •  Ability to conduct precise quality checks, maintain accurate records, adjust processing parameters, and ensure cleanliness in the processing area, meeting GMP cleanliness standards.
  • Strong analytical abilities to assess process data, identify inefficiencies, and propose effective solutions, and documentation.
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in process engineering within the food processing industry, specifically in Vegetable oil processing.
  • Strong understanding of Vegetable oil processing, equipment operation, and troubleshooting. Familiarity with GMP, PLC systems, and panel controls is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of safety protocols, Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.
