Unilag Microfinance Bank was duly registered in April 2020 with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) and was licensed by the Central Bank of Nigeria to operate as a microfinance bank in February 2021. The focus of the Bank is to provide microfinance banking services to individuals and businesses within the University of Lagos environment as well as small and medium scale enterprises beyond. Unilag Microfinance Bank has made appreciable investments in technology with a view to being a leading digital bank in Nigeria. With sufficient capital base and experienced team of board members and management, the Bank is positioned to deliver effective and efficient banking services targeted at the young and the middle class without prejudice to the elites.
We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Loan Officer
Location: University of Lagos, Akoka, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time
Responsibilities
- Evaluate creditworthiness and process loan applications and documentation within specified time limits.
- Maintain and update account records.
- Access customer needs and introduce suitable product offerings in line with the identified needs.
- Complete loan contracts and educate clients on applicable terms and conditions.
- Ensure timely repayment of disbursed loan and maintaining quality loan portfolio.
- Operate in compliance with laws and regulation guiding Microfinance institutions.
Qualifications
- HND / BSc from a reputable institution.
- 24 to 35 years of age
- Proven working experience as a Loan Officer in a Microfinance institution, Finance house or any related experirnce.
- Sales/marketing skills
- Analytical and Organizational skills
- Customer-centric and service-oriented.
- Resilient and Goal driven
- Self-motivated and ability to work with little or no supervision.
- Strong ethical behavior and compliance with rules and regulations guiding Microfinance institutions.
