Job Title: Procurement and Field Officer
Location: Ibadan, Oyo
Employment Type: Full-time
Job Description
- Coordinates all activities related to the procurement of a commodity beginning with intent to purchase through delivery
- Analyze the requirements of the commodity, including preliminary specifications, preferred supplier, and date the commodity is needed
- Determine strategic supply objectives using tools and reports for decision-making around products and commodity purchases
- Manages vendor relations and supplier development with selected vendors
- Manages quality control, product rejections and resolves vendor disputes
- Assures that the commodity is delivered on schedule, at the negotiated price, and meets the quality standard of the company
- Maintains timely control of orders, amendments, shipping notices, and other documents to ensure accurate retention of records
- Provides in-depth market information, and supply base activities to management
- Execution and monitoring of all regular purchasing duties
- Plan and manage inventory levels of materials or products.
Job Requirements
- B.Sc. Degree / HND / OND in Supply Chain or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of proven work experience as a procurement Officer in agricultural commodities.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in MS Office tools.
- Willingness to travel on official duties.
