Job Overview
- The Corporate Communication Specialist will take ownership of all company Corporate Communication (corporate profile, brochure, press, advertising, gifts, events, corporate communication, websites etc.) and ensure a coordinated and consistent message across.
- He or she will contribute to the formulation of strategy for the organization ensuring that all communication policies and programmes supports the organization’s overall strategic direction.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the development, preparation, design, and evaluation of communication initiatives in line with plan (weekly newsletter, leadership communications, project communications, etc.)
- Supervises the quality and appropriateness of communication activities internally or externally produced.
- Develop media strategy and monitor deployment and compliance.
- Coordinate external brand activities and ensure compliance with brand guidelines/objectives.
- Initiating and monitoring communication activities in order to realize the desired uniform and integral positioning of the company.
- Designs, prepares and rolls out internal employee surveys as and when required by the business. Collate feedback.
- Be responsible for communicating to the internal audiences in times of a crisis.
- Ensures corporate identity is followed to achieve uniformity and synergy.
- Manage a comprehensive employee communications strategy and plan that directly supports the business strategy, vision and values and uses a range of appropriate tools and is measurable.
- Develops and executes plans for the design, writing and production of external communications materials, including brochures, memos, newsletters, etc.
- Provides brand communication and advertising strategy leadership.
- Perform other duties as assigned by line manager.
Minimum Educational Qualifications / Certifications / Years of Experience
- Minimum of BSc in Communications, Public Relations, or any relevant field.
- 5 years of experience as a corporate communication specialist.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working at a senior role.
- 6 – 7 years of experience in copywriting and editing.
- Proficient in the use of PowerPoint.
- Proficiency in using various communications platforms and tools.
- Excellent knowledge of shipping operations
- Excellent knowledge of unionized environment.
