Role Overview
- We are looking for a proactive and self-motivated First Line IT Support Engineer to assist with the maintenance and day-to-day running of the Kuda Technology IT estate.
- Reporting to the Head of Technology Operations, the role holder will provide face-to-face support, as well as electronic/virtual support and communications.
Roles & Responsibilities
- As the 1st Line IT Support Engineer, you will be responsible for undertaking a varied range of system, networking and infrastructure activities with oversight from the Head of Technology Operations.
The responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- 1st line support about any user problem on both Mac and PCs, mobile devices in person, via phone and Slack
- Delivering in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment
- Serve as the “go-to” person for internal users
- Account creation for new starters
- Management of users in G suite for your designated location
- Management of Email Groups
- Management of Google apps
- Continuous use of Jira and Confluence
- Management of ticket queues
- Management of assets, checking the availability of IT resources and necessary stock
- Updating and documenting processes
- Hands-on patching and tidying up cables, moving workstations, organizing IT-related stuff for staff etc
- Monitor systems performances and report with relevant information about eventual issues
- Assist with the delivery of periodical pieces of training on IT-related matters to all the staff at your designated location
- Help ensure the cyber security standards are always met
- Telephony and video conferencing
- Google collaboration tools
- Ability to perform confidently in client-facing situations as required
- Ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality
Requirements
- Previous experience in an IT support role
- Previous experience in FinTech and/or Financial Services (desirable but not mandatory)
- Basic understanding of GDPR as it pertains to the role
- Good analysis, problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Able to quickly master new systems
- Detail-oriented and self-starter with strong written and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently, and demonstrable common sense
- Computer literate and proficient in standard office applications Word, Excel and Outlook
- Good interpersonal & communication skills
- Well organised with effective time and activity management skills
- Enthusiasm and willingness to continuously learn new things
- Goal orientated, able to meet and exceed goals
- Proactive with great organisation and time management skills
- Excellent attention to detail
