Job Title: Head of Marketing Unit (Sales)

Job Description
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement strategic sales and marketing plans that align with the company’s overall objectives and revenue targets. Provide vision and direction for the sales marketing team to drive growth and achieve business goals.
- Team Management: Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of sales and marketing professionals. Provide guidance, training, and support to help team members excel in their roles and achieve performance targets.
- Sales Strategy Development: Collaborate with senior management to develop sales strategies, set sales targets, and establish sales quotas. Identify opportunities for revenue growth and market expansion, and develop actionable plans to capitalize on them.
- Marketing Strategy Development: Work closely with the marketing team to develop comprehensive marketing strategies that support sales objectives. Ensure alignment between sales and marketing efforts to maximize impact and effectiveness.
- Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and prospects. Act as a primary point of contact for high-value accounts, and oversee efforts to nurture client relationships and drive customer satisfaction.
- Sales Performance Monitoring: Monitor sales performance against targets and KPIs, and take proactive measures to address any deviations or challenges. Implement systems and processes for tracking sales metrics, analyzing data, and making data-driven decisions.
- Sales Forecasting and Budgeting: Forecast sales volumes, revenue projections, and budget requirements for the sales marketing department. Ensure accurate and realistic forecasts to support financial planning and resource allocation.
- Market Analysis and Competitive Intelligence: Conduct market analysis, competitor research, and industry trend monitoring to identify opportunities and threats. Stay informed about market dynamics, customer needs, and emerging trends to inform sales marketing strategies.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments such as product development, operations, finance, and customer service to ensure alignment of sales marketing efforts with overall business objectives. Foster a culture of collaboration and teamwork across departments.
- Performance Evaluation and Improvement: Conduct regular performance reviews and evaluations of sales marketing team members. Identify strengths, weaknesses, and areas for improvement, and implement strategies to enhance team performance and productivity.
- Stakeholder Communication: Serve as a liaison between the sales marketing department and senior management, providing regular updates, reports, and insights on sales marketing activities, performance, and results.
- Compliance and Ethics: Ensure that all sales marketing activities comply with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies. Promote ethical conduct and integrity in all sales marketing interactions and transactions.
Job Requirements
- Candidates should possess minimum of OND / HND / B.Sc Degrees with 2 – 6 years relevant work experience.
