Job Overview
- The Supply Chain Pharmacy Assistant, working closely with the Lead Supply Chain Pharmacist, plays a pivotal role in facilitating and optimizing the procurement process.
- They will leverage their knowledge in procurement and data analytics to ensure a smooth supply chain operation while delivering exceptional service to both internal and external stakeholders.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Support the Lead Supply Chain Pharmacist in procurement and order fulfillment tasks.
- Oversee the entire invoice order fulfillment process, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to optimize procurement processes.
- Analyze supply chain data to pinpoint trends, inefficiencies, and improvement areas.
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of orders to meet delivery expectations.
- Engage with finance teams to confirm accurate billing and streamline payment processes.
- Generate and review reports on procurement activities and performance metrics.
- Participate in discussions with IT teams to harness data analytics for decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with industry and company standards throughout the order fulfillment process.
- Provide insights for inventory optimization and demand forecasting based on order trends.
- Build robust relationships with suppliers to ensure quality and reliability.
- Proactively identify and address any potential bottlenecks or disruptions in the supply chain.
- Regularly audit data sources to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
- Assist the Lead Supply Chain Pharmacist in negotiations with suppliers to secure optimal terms.
- Propose and implement process improvements within the order fulfillment chain.
- Liaise with internal departments to align on procurement needs and priorities.
- Continuously monitor order turnaround times and devise strategies for enhancement.
- Engage in training sessions for continuous professional development.
- Collaborate on projects aimed at refining and innovating the procurement process.
- Ensure that the decision-making process in procurement is data-driven and efficient.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy, Business, or any related field.
- Proficiency in data analytics tools and software.
- Demonstrable experience with order fulfillment processes.
- Demonstrated expertise in procurement processes
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in data analytics tools and software.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Basic understanding of regulatory compliance in the pharma industry.
- Familiarity with CRM systems and practices.
