Job Title: Business Development Manager

Location: Lagos

Job Purpose

  • As the Business Development Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in accelerating growth at the forefront of the Nigerian market.
  • Your responsibilities will include revenue generation, strategic planning, and leading a high-performing team to surpass sales objectives.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Identify and promote our solutions within target sectors.
  • Develop and execute a strong sales strategy aligned with our objectives.
  • Lead, mentor, and motivate the sales team to exceed targets.
  • Establish and monitor KPIs, shaping team goals for the Nigerian market.
  • Analyze market trends and competitor activities to refine sales strategies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams for cohesive business growth.
  • Provide market feedback to product and engineering teams.
  • Deliver regular sales performance reports and growth plans.
  • Monitor and enhance metrics such as LTV, CAC, and conversion rates.
  • Define and implement processes for funnel expansion, outreach, onboarding, and expansion.
  • Analyze and refine the sales funnel for maximum impact.
  • Explore new business opportunities, partnerships, and market segments.
  • Cultivate relationships with key partners for mutual benefit.
  • Maintain strong client relationships for exceptional customer satisfaction.
  • Work closely with leadership to align processes and technology with goals.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Technology, or related field.
  • 7+ years of B2B sales experience.
  • Knowledge of CPaaS solutions is advantageous.
  • Strong network and relationships in medium-large B2C businesses.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Results-oriented mindset with a track record of exceeding targets.
  • Proven sales forecasting expertise.
  • Experience in a dynamic start-up environment is a plus.
  • MBA is a plus.
  • Proven sales leadership, preferably in a tech-driven or SaaS environment.
