The Lagos State Ministry of Health (LSMOH) remains the only state to receive direct funding from the Global Fund since 2017 and is currently a Principal Recipient for the implementation of the Resilient and Sustainable Systems for Health (RSSH) grant during the 2024 – 2026 implementation period.
As the Principal Recipient, the Ministry of Health is legally responsible for managing the grant and ensuring the achievement of the programmatic results and accountability of the grant’s resources. To fulfil the mandate of the Principal Recipient, the Ministry of Health established the Global Fund Grant Management Unit (GMU) to carry out the functions of the PR. The Grant Management Unit works with the implementing units within the LSMOH, and other implementing partners in executing its mandate and ensuring that the grant is managed and implemented in compliance with the grant agreement signed between the Global Fund and the Principal Recipient.
We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Data Entry Clerk
Locations: Badagry LGA, Ifako-Ijaiye LGA, and Eti-Osa LGA – Lagos
Overall Objectives
- To support in carrying out collection, collation, and upload of data generated at public and private health facilities offering HIV services across the state.
Specific Objectives & Duties
- Transfer data from paper format into a computer file or database system
- Input data provided by the facility data entry clerk.
- Verify data by comparing it with source documents.
- Update existing data.
- Strengthen referrals (facility to facility and community to facility)
- Facilitate and assist in tracking clients with the IP in charge of the LGA.
- Ensure that all Facilities offering HIV services within the LGA are reporting timely data.
- Retrieve data from the database or electronic files as requested.
- To work with L-SACA/ Community mobilizers for Advocacy and social mobilization for HIV services.
Experience and Qualifications
- Minimum of OND certificate in Data Management, Information Management, Health Record Management or related Discipline
- Minimum qualification of National Diploma Certificate.
- Experience working with NGOs, Government, Public Health Programs, etc., will be an added advantage.
- Great attention to details
- Proven experience as a Data Entry Clerk with not less than 1 year of work experience
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office Suite, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Proficiency in electronic data/information systems/Database (e.g. EMR, EHR)
