Job Title: Head, Network Administrator
Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time
Responsibilities
- Configuration and installation of various network devices and services (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPN,VOICE PBX, QoS)
- Network maintenance and system upgrades including service packs, patches, hot fixes and security configurations
- Monitoring system resource utilization, trending, and capacity planning
- Providing Level-2/3 support and troubleshooting to resolve issues
- Work within established configuration and change management policies to ensure awareness, approval and success of changes made to the network infrastructure
- Liaising with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution
- Documentation of Policies and knowledge base.
Requirements
- B.Sc / BA in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related discipline; professional certification (e.g. CCNP, NSE4)
- Proficiency of networking protocols (e.g., IPSEC, HSRP, BGP, OSPF,EIGRP 802.11, QoS)
- Understanding of VPN Technologies
- Solid understanding of the OSI or TCP/IP model
- Proficiency of LAN Technologies (Vlans;Trunks,Etherchannels, Spanning Tree)
- Hands-on experience with Next-Generation Firewalls (Fortinet, Cisco Firepower) Hands-on experience with monitoring, network diagnostic and network analytics tools (e.g PRTG, SOLARWIND, WIRESHARK, FIREPOWER PACKET TRACER).
