Job Title: Process Engineer

Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

  • The Process Engineer is responsible for ensuring that the process deliverables meet the COMPANY and standard specifications and are delivered within the schedule.
  • He would be responsible for addressing all clarifications related to the process, participating in technical reviews, and supervising, and guiding the FEED Engineering Contractor on process activities as well as any other specialized contractor.
  • He is equally responsible to evaluate and challenge all pipeline flow assurance (FA) studies and deliverables.

Main Responsibilities

  • To foresee that all Process related work is executed to meet all the requirements of the project.
  • Ensure that the process designs are in full compliance with COMPANY general specifications and other standards, which meet overall project objectives to provide safe, operable, reliable, and cost-effective facilities.
  • To anticipate problems in the discipline to inform the FEED engineering manager and advise on proactive remedial measures.
  • Develop the process concept and other deliverables and ensure they are issued within schedule.
  • Ensures timely review and return of process deliverables to the Engineering CONTRACTOR.
  • Responsible for issuing process weekly reports and participating in weekly Engineering meetings.
  • Review regularly with the FEED Engineering Manager the process scope, priorities, progress, areas of concern, and required support from other engineering sections.
  • Reviews weekly with other engineering sections’ schedules, interdisciplinary checks, and interfaces to prioritize deliverables to meet the project schedule. Monitor progress, identify areas of concern, and apply corrective measures.
  • Advise FEED Engineering Manager on process-related change management system.
  • Review engineering drawings and provide technical expertise
  • To prepare responses to all technical queries requested from ENGINEER to add value by minimizing costs without sacrificing safety or level of quality.
  • Participate in Project Reviews (HSE, 3D reviews, PTRs, HAZOPS, etc) giving steering to process/FA and ensuring that all process-related actions are closed within schedule.
  • Be responsible for ensuring that ENGINEERING CONTRACTOR prepares and submits the process closeout report.
  • Coordinate with the operations team to ensure compliance with Subsidiary codes and standards.
  • To ensure the conformity of development of the design of existing facilities is as close as possible.
  • Lead the review and delivery of Process/FA engineering deliverables and work packages from internal and/or External resources.
  • Ensure all designs are reviewed with all stakeholders and feedback is incorporated.
  • Provide oversight of discipline engineers, service providers, technology licensors, and equipment vendors
  • Review process and flow assurance progress, take action when required to rectify issues that arise, and provide routine project status reports to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Identify opportunities to reduce risk or reduce costs to enhance plant reliability, safety, environmental performance, and efficiency while implementing opportunities for operating cost reduction and optimization

Educational Qualifications & Experience

  • University Degree
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience
  • Efficient in the use of HYSIS, UNISIM, PROII & OLGA
