Jigawa SUBEB Was “Founded in 2003” The Jigawa State Universal Basic Education Board came into existence under Law No.6 of 2003 which was amended as Law No. 11 of 2008 and later refilled and amended under Law No. 1 on 15th January 2016.

The Board like others of its type in the thirty-six states of the federation including Abuja is charged with the running and management of the Basic Education sub-sector in the state (Primary and Junior Secondary Schools). Presently, with the inception of his administration, Excellency, Governor, in in-line with his 12 points Agenda, the UBE programme has so far enjoyed tremendous goodwill towards promoting and ensuring access, equity and quality Basic Education in the state
