Philgold Trading Storewas established as a one-stop neighbourhood store, catering to the daily need of a wide range of clientele with the customers’ satisfaction as our focal point. Philgold-Mart houses three sections: Philgold Supermarket (Grocery Store); Philgold Bakery (Bread & Pasteries); and Philgold Fashion Boutique (Clothings & Accessories).

Job Description

• We are looking for dedicated and customer-focused Supermarket Attendants / Cashiers to join our team at Philgold Supermarkets.
• As a Supermarket Attendant, you will play a vital role in ensuring a positive shopping experience for our customers.
• You will be responsible for assisting customers, maintaining a clean and organized environment, and supporting various operational tasks.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner.
• Provide product information and guidance to help customers make informed purchasing decisions.
• Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and returns with patience and efficiency.
• Maintain a helpful and approachable demeanor to create a welcoming shopping atmosphere.
• Monitor and replenish merchandise on the sales floor.
• Arrange products neatly on shelves and displays.
• Assist in inventory management, including restocking and conducting regular stock checks
• Operate cash registers and handle customer transactions accurately.
• Count and verify cash and credit card payments.
• Provide receipts and change to customers as needed.
• Follow cash handling procedures to prevent errors and discrepancies.

Requirements
Education:

• Candidates should possess a Secondary School Leaving Certificate with 0 – 2 years relevant work experience.

Others:

• Previous experience in retail, customer service, or a related field is a plus.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work well in a team and independently.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in cash handling.
• Physical stamina for standing, lifting, and moving merchandise.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems.
• Basic knowledge of the products sold in the store.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude.
