School Account Officer (Ogun) at West Africa Vocational Education (WAVE)

WAVE is solving what is arguably the biggest challenge on the continent: youth unemployment. In West Africa, 40-85% of youth, more than 50 million, are either unemployed or underemployed. Meanwhile, job creation in the region is on the rise. The disconnect between work-ready youth and the employment market must be bridged.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: School Account Officer

Location: Maba, Ogun
Employment Type: Full-time
Working Hour: Time: 8AM-5PM (Mon-Fri)

Responsibilities

  • Handle campus accounts payable and receivable
  • Maintain up-to-date billing system
  • Generate and send out invoices as at when due
  • Follow up on, collect and allocate payments in Xero ERP promptly
  • Carry out billing, collection and reporting activities according to specific deadlines
  • Perform account reconciliations of all debtors
  • Monitor customer account details for non-payments, delayed payments and other irregularities
  • Research and resolve invoices & receipts discrepancies
  • Maintain campus imprest and expenses payments with prompt posting in Xero
  • ERP
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • B.Sc. or HND. in Accounting or Finance,
  • ACA/ACCA/MBA is an added advantage.
  • Minimum of Five (3) years accounting & finance experience.
  • Highest level of integrity, excellence & creativity
  • Excellent multi-tasking abilities
  • Knowledge and understanding of Nigerian Taxation Laws
  • Knowledge of Xero accounting ERP and ability to use the entire MS Office suite will be an added advantage.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers, vendors and clients
  • Must have demonstrated leadership and management skills.
  • Must be able to work effectively with all levels of employees, including top, middle and Supervisory levels of management.

Pay
N130,000.00 per month
