Job Summary

  • We are seeking a courteous and experienced Waiter to join our team. The Waiter will be responsible for delivering high-quality service, taking orders, serving food and beverages, and ensuring a pleasant dining experience for all guests.
  • The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Guest Interaction: Greet guests promptly and warmly upon arrival, escort them to their tables, and provide menus. Maintain a friendly and professional demeanor at all times to ensure guests feel welcome and valued.
  • Order Taking: Accurately take food and beverage orders, offering recommendations and answering questions about the menu. Ensure all special requests and dietary restrictions are communicated to the kitchen staff.
  • Service Delivery: Serve food and beverages promptly, ensuring that each dish is presented attractively and meets quality standards. Check in with guests to ensure satisfaction with their meals and promptly address any issues or requests.
  • Table Management: Monitor assigned tables to ensure guests’ needs are met throughout their dining experience. Clear and reset tables efficiently to maintain a clean and orderly dining area.
  • Billing and Payments: Prepare and present checks to guests, handle cash and credit card transactions accurately, and process payments using the point-of-sale (POS) system. Provide change and receipts promptly and courteously.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with kitchen and bar staff to ensure seamless service and timely delivery of orders. Communicate effectively with team members to provide exceptional guest experiences.
  • Sanitation and Safety: Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including proper food handling and sanitation practices. Maintain cleanliness and organization in the dining area and service stations.
  • Training and Development: Participate in ongoing training sessions to stay updated on menu changes, service techniques, and industry best practices. Share knowledge and mentor new team members as needed.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a waiter or in a similar role within the hospitality industry is preferred.
  • Strong customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of food and beverage service standards and procedures.
  • Ability to work flexible hours.
  • Basic math skills for handling payments and processing transactions.
