We are currently recruiting for the position below:

Job Title: Business Development Associate (Intern)

Location: Lagos, Nigeria / Remote Working

Job Summary

  • The Business Development Associate will support the Partnership Team by identifying and developing strategic relationships with partners and new clients.
  • This role involves conducting research, preparing proposals, and following up on potential and existing partnerships.
  • The Associate will also be responsible for maintaining client relationships and ensuring ongoing communication with partners.

Key Responsibilities
Research and Identification:

  • Conduct research to identify potential partners and clients that align with the company’s strategic goals.
  • Analyze industry trends and market conditions to identify opportunities for growth and partnerships.

Partnership Development:

  • Assist the Partnership Manager in developing and maintaining strategic partnerships.
  • Prepare partnership proposals and presentations for potential partners and clients.
  • Coordinate and schedule meetings with potential partners and clients.

Follow-up and Relationship Management:

  • Maintain ongoing communication with existing partners and clients to ensure satisfaction and address any issues.
  • Follow up on partnership and client enquiries promptly and professionally.
  • Track and report the status of ongoing partnership discussions and negotiations.

Administrative Support:

  • Assist in the preparation of reports, documentation, and correspondence related to partnership activities.
  • Maintain an organized database of partners and clients, including contact details, meeting notes, and follow-up actions.
  • Support the Partnership Manager in coordinating events, meetings, and other partnership-related activities.

Collaboration and Communication:

  • Collaborate with the Social Media and Grant Departments to ensure cohesive business development strategies.
  • Communicate effectively with internal teams to provide updates on partnership developments and client feedback.
  • Attend industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to represent the company and build relationships.

Qualifications
Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, Engineering, International Relations or a related field.

Experience:

  • At least 1-2 years of experience in business development, sales, or a related field.
  • Experience in the manufacturing or consultancy industry is a plus.

Skills:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong analytical and research skills.
