Job Title: Chief Risk Officer (CRO)

Job Summary
- We are seeking an experienced Chief Risk Officer (CRO) to join our team.
- The CRO will be responsible for leading the risk management function, developing and implementing risk management strategies, and ensuring that the company’s risk profile is aligned with its business objectives.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive risk management framework that covers all aspects of the business
- Identify, assess, and mitigate risks that could impact the company’s assets, reputation, and financial well-being
- Develop and maintain risk management policies, procedures, and standards
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards
- Collaborate with other departments to integrate risk management into all aspects of the business
- Provide risk management training and guidance to employees
- Develop and manage the risk management team
- Report risk management metrics and insights to the CEO/Managing Director and the Board of Directors
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and regulatory requirements
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field (e.g., finance, economics, business administration)
- Professional certification in risk management (e.g., CRMA, FRM)
- At least 10 years of experience in risk management, preferably in the financial services or Fintech industry
- Strong understanding of risk management principles and practices
- Excellent leadership and management skills and strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
Nice to Have:
- Master’s degree in a related field
- Experience in auditing or compliance
- Knowledge of Nigerian financial regulations and standards
- Certification in auditing or compliance (e.g., CISA, CCO).
