Description
- The Dangote Cement Transport is currently seeking a skilled and experienced General Mechanic to join our team. As a General Mechanic, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing trucks used in our operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular inspections of trucks to identify any issues or maintenance needs.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning, lubricating, and adjusting parts.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical problems and determine the best course of action for repair.
- Repair or replace faulty components using hand and power tools.
- Test repaired trucks to ensure proper functioning and performance.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair work performed.
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines at all times.
- Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in mechanical technology.
Requirements
- OND or Trade certification in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience as a general mechanic, preferably in a similar industry.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and components.
- Proficiency in using hand and power tools for repairs and maintenance.
- Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and diagrams.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks.
- Ability to work independently and follow instructions.
