Job Title: Instrumentation and Controls Specialist

Job Summary
- The Instrumentation and Controls Specialist will be responsible for designing, developing, installing, managing, and maintaining equipment used to monitor and control engineering systems, machinery, and processes.
- This role ensures the efficiency, reliability, and safety of our operations.
- The Instrumentation and Controls Specialist will work closely with engineering teams to optimize system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to enhance productivity.
- A deep understanding of instrumentation technology, control systems, and industry standards is required.
Main Tasks
- Execute and /or supervise maintenance jobs and projects executed in the company’s Workshop or at clients’ site covering a wide range of instrumentation and controls (including but not limited to control valves, safety relief valves, instrumentation, level gauges, fixed gas detection systems…)
- Provide leadership, technical support and direction for maintenance team leaders and technicians on the field and at Workshop Facility
- Conduct inspection, including pre-job preparations and planning, troubleshooting and root cause analysis on abnormal operations in various types of equipment
- Perform various maintenance activities including breakdown, preventive & corrective maintenance, including complete overhauls repairs, disassembly and replacements of client equipment as per contractual requirements and according to OEM standards.
- Prepare all necessary project-related reports in a timely and professional manner.
- Review / prepare any contractual documentation as required including SOW, HSE, QA/QC etc. and prepare commercial proposals
- Participate in interviewing, training and developing a competent maintenance workforce.
- Coordinate, support and work closely with QHSE department to ensure compliance with QHSE manuals, objectives and policies. Company is certified to ISO 9001 and OHSAS 18001 standards.
- Interface directly with client maintenance teams as necessary in the course of providing feedback & support as per contractual agreement required and also gain clients’ trust and generate new job opportunities.
- Read, interpret and follow accurately OEM drawings and manuals
- Perform work in a safe manner as per established procedures and practices in addition to maintaining a good housekeeping on site and in the workshop at all times
Job Specification
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical / Electronic Engineering
- 8 years of experience, with a minimum of 8 years being “hands-on”
Competencies:
- Workshop experience of complete equipment overhauls is a must
- Installation, alignment and commissioning experience is a must
- Conversant with GA/ sectional drawings, exploded views / P&I/Piping, manuals etc.
- Equipment and Process knowledge and problem-solving experience is a must.
- Comprehensive understanding of all maintenance principles including condition monitoring and root cause analysis techniques
- Comprehensive understanding of HSE principles and guidelines.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
- Strong planning and organizational skills
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
- Strong computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Projects, and Maintenance Management Systems
- Electrical/ Instrumentation Experience is a plus
- Swimming is a must (will undergo Bosiet/Huet Test)
- Frequent traveling to onshore and offshore locations would be required
