Africa Youth Growth Foundation (AYGF) is a regional non- Governmental Organisation that focuses on the following thematic areas; Migration, Public Health, Education, Democratic Governance, livelihood, Climate Change and Environment.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Program Officer (Governance)

Location: Abuja (FCT)
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

  • The Program Officer for Governance will design, implement, and monitor governance-focused programs aimed at promoting transparency, accountability, and citizen participation, while supporting initiatives through targeted resource mobilization and collaborative efforts.

Job Responsibiities

  • Secure funding opportunities for governance and civic engagement projects, such as anti-corruption and public accountability initiatives.
  • Design proposals and secure donor commitments.
  • Support the implementation of governance programs by ensuring mobilized resources align with project needs.
  • Develop and nurture relationships with governance donors and other stakeholders.
  • Advocate for governance reforms through partnership-building efforts.
  • Design and develop project proposals.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science, Law, or related field.
  • At least 4 years of experience in governance-related resource mobilization.
  • Proven Experience in Multi-Donor Management
  • Strong Analytical and Research Skills
  • Proficiency in Donor Management Systems and Tools
  • Proficiency in relevant computer software applications, including Microsoft Office suite and statistical analysis software.
