Chevron Nigeria Limited (CNL) is one of the largest oil producers in Nigeria and one of its largest investors. In Nigeria, we operate under a joint-venture arrangement with the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) for the onshore and offshore assets in the Niger Delta region.

Chevron also has extensive interests in multi partner deepwater operations. We operate the Agbami Field, one of Nigeria’s largest deepwater discoveries. We also have a non-operated interest in the Usan Field.

Job Description Summary

  • This position is responsible for the collection, collation, coordination, and dissemination of security information across the organization. Conducts research and counterintelligence, exploring a wide range of sources to ensure a continuous flow of reliable information.
  • Motivates and adequately protects information sources and handlers. Reports research findings leadership to support proactive and effective decision-making

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for gathering and monitoring relevant security information from multiple sources.
  • Identifies, observes, corroborates and analyses local, regional and national security-related issues and other developments for functional stakeholders.
  • Produce and disseminate reports to assist the company in informed decision-making and targeted resource allocation.
  • Responsible for proactive intelligence gathering.
  • Conduct and supervise risk surveys/threat assessments and estimates.
  • Explore a broad-based selection of sources for the continuous flow of reliable information and work effectively in a team environment.
  • Manage security information/intelligence data base.

What You Will Bring
Experience:

  • At least 10 years post-qualification experience.

Qualification:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Social sciences, Humanities or its equivalent.
  • Possession of higher degrees, security certifications from recognized professional organizations and service in one of the relevant government security agencies will be a plus.

Additional Considerations

  • Ability to conduct and supervise risk surveys/threat assessments and estimates.
  • Strong predictive analytical, conceptual thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to utilize data from research to forecast security situations within and outside company’s operational areas for planning purposes.
  •  Ability to establish and maintain robust/effective relationships with key stakeholders (internal and external) including the security intelligence community and industry peers to ensure synergy and efficient flow of information.
  •  Demonstrated ability to supervise work teams in a complex work environment and experience in serving a broad group of stakeholders.
  •  Must possess good knowledge of Information risk management, data privacy and efficient information dissemination procedures.
  • Ability to implement innovative solutions to challenging situations.
