Overview

  • In commemoration of its 35/25th Anniversary (35 years of incorporation and 25 years of operational excellence), NLNG wishes to announce a special edition of the NLNG Post Graduate Scholarship Scheme PGSS Special Edition – for its Host Communities.
  • The PGSS Special Edition is designed to empower exceptional students from the Company’s Host Communities by providing the financial support necessary to complete their postgraduate studies at recognized universities in the United Kingdom (UK).
  • NLNG is dedicated to fostering an inclusive scholarship program and actively encourages applications from all eligible indigenes of its Host Communities, including Persons Living with Disabilities (PLWDs).

Requirements / Eligibility
Must be a citizen of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and an indigene of any of the NLNG’s Host Communities studying any of the following programs:

  • MSc Civil Engineering
  • MSc Computer Science/Information Technology
  • MSc Mechanical Engineering
  • MSc Chemical Engineering
  • MSc Electrical/Electronic Engineering
  • MSc Petroleum/Gas Engineering
  • MSc Environmental Science
  • MSc Robotics Engineering and/or Artificial Intelligence
  • MSc Renewable Energy and Climate Studies.
  • Must be currently enrolled in a recognized public university in the United Kingdom.
  • Must have graduated with a minimum of Second Class Honours (Upper Division) in a relevant field, from a Nigerian university
  • Must have completed one year of compulsory National Youth Service Corps (NYSC).
  • Have a minimum of 8.0 IELTS score (with not less than 7.0 in each element) OR 102 grade at TOEFL OR 73-79 grade at Pearson Test of English Language (PTE).
  • Be NOT more than 30 years of age at the time of application.
  • Provide an indigene confirmation letter signed by the CDC Chairman or Chief in his/her community
  • Provide a letter of identification from the applicable Local Government Council.
  • Possess a domiciliary bank account (GBP and USD) with either GT Bank or First Bank for use if successful.
  • Have demonstrated academic excellence and strong leadership ability
  • Have a clear vision of how his/her study will benefit the chosen field, Community, and Nigeria.
  • Must not be a beneficiary of any other scholarship, bursary, or grant from any other organization.
  • Must NOT be a spouse, child, ward, or direct relation of staff of NLNG.

The Application Procedure

  • Ensure you have clear scanned copies of the following documents for upload:
    • Passport photograph with white background not more than 3 months old (450px by 450px not more than 200kb)
    • First-degree certificate
    • NYSC Discharge certificate
    • Provisional admission letter from a UK university
    • IELTS/TOEFL/PTE result
    • Local Government Area (LGA) letter of identification
    • NLNG Host Community indigene confirmation letter
    • Employer consent letter (where applicable)

  • Enter your registered email and password to upload your information.
  • Enter your personal information, educational information, other information and upload required scanned documents.
  • Ensure the name used in applications matches the names on all documentation in same order.
  • Ensure you view all documents after uploading, to eliminate errors during uploading.
  • When asked to upload photo, upload a pass-port photograph with a white background.

  • Ensure the documents are named according to what they represent to avoid mixing up documents
