Job Description
- As a Security Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining security measures to protect Ethnos Cyber Ltd. and its clients.
- You will work closely with internal teams to ensure the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of data and systems.
- This role requires a deep understanding of security technologies, a proactive approach to threat mitigation, and the ability to respond effectively to security incidents.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage security architectures and controls to protect data, networks, and systems.
- Perform regular security assessments and vulnerability testing to identify potential risks.
- Develop and enforce security policies, standards, and procedures to ensure compliance with industry regulations.
- Collaborate with development teams to integrate security best practices in software development and system design.
- Stay updated on the latest cybersecurity trends, threats, and best practices.
- Provide technical security guidance and training to internal teams and clients.
- Monitor systems and networks for security breaches or intrusions and respond to incidents promptly.
- Implement and maintain security tools such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and encryption solutions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in information security, network security, or related roles.
- Experience in incident response, vulnerability management, and threat analysis.
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CEH, CISM, or GSEC are preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
- Hands-on experience with security technologies (e.g., firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, SIEM, encryption).
- Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash, PowerShell) for security automation.
